This is Jaxon’s first year attending our church’s mothers day out program (Tues/Thurs 8:30am-2pm) which means this is my first chance at school holiday parties! I wanted to go the “extra mile” and include a dip for the kids and teachers to enjoy with their fruit and it was a huge hit!
As Jax is getting bigger and more active, I am finding it harder and harder to keep him entertained…we decided to venture out to Fort Worth, Texas (we live directly in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth) to Ridgmar Mall to try out SeaQuest Fort Worth.
Mornings aren’t particularly my favorite part of the day, but no matter what they always come. No matter what, I am always armed with a STRONG cup of coffee but that’s not enough to keep me going until lunch.
In special commemoration of the @snackswithJax 100th Instagram post, we decided to share a meal plan for other mamas who are hungry too! Something that has taken some adjusting is becoming used to the idea that my needs are NEVER first. Because of that, I would find myself STARVING at 9pm after putting Jax down, cleaningContinue reading “Mommy and Me Meal Plan”
It has already come and gone and I still can not BELIEVE my child is already 1 year old! Since having Jaxon the concept of time being fleeting is all the more real. I can’t get back any of those sweet, special moments with my tiny little baby. The exciting part of growing up isContinue reading “Hole in One Par-Tee”
Pot Roast… MmmmMmmmm! It is one of my favorite “comfort meals”. I have been looking for protein recipes that are soft enough for Jax (8mo) to eat but that his papa and I will also enjoy! For recipes like this one, that does mean I have to make two separate “roasts” but that’s okay becauseContinue reading “Pot Roast (Plus Recipe for Mom and Dad)”
When it came to baby food, avocado was one I was so excited to feed Jax! Avocado is a great fruit for the health of your baby’s… …and is a good food option if your baby suffers from colic.
Being 7+hours away from my family was a difficult transition for me but it was extremely difficult to tell them that Jordan and I were expecting when they were so far away! I wanted it to be memorable but I knew it would be such a surprise that I knew it also needed to beContinue reading “Telling Family You’re Pregnant (Long Distance)”
Having a sick little one is the absolute worst thing ever. Jax is currently 5 months old and we are experiencing our first battle with the constantly changing weather. Yesterday was in the 40s, today the 80s, tomorrow back to the 40s… As a nutritionist, my LAST line of defense is traditional medication. I feelContinue reading “Natural Baby Cold Remedy”
It is no secret that Jaxon was not a “planned baby” but few people know the entire story. I was in my final semester of college at Texas Woman’s University (after a solid 4 years at Ole Miss, HOTTY TODDY). After beginning college as a biology major, changing at the end of my sophomore yearContinue reading “Surprise! Here is your baby.”
